Job summary

PulteGroup, a leading homebuilder with a nationwide footprint, is seeking a Procurement/Category Manager in Indianapolis to drive sourcing strategy, supplier relationships, and community setup. You will lead contracts, cost analyses, and compliance across multiple markets.

The role collaborates with construction, design, and sales to align procurement with business goals, while delivering value engineering and cost efficiency. Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• University degree or equivalent experience preferred; typically 2–4 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement for assigned categories, including sourcing strategy and contracts.
• Oversee community setup strategy and pricing validation for new communities.
• Collaborate with construction, sales, and design leadership to meet procurement needs.
• Lead cost analysis, negotiations, and contract implementation for communities.
• Coordinate trade partner strategy and ensure compliance with cost, performance, and legal requirements.
• Provide analytical insights from procurement and community reports.
• Manage supplier relationships and drive performance improvements.
• Improve procurement processes for cost containment and efficiency.
• Supervise trade partner performance and assist with staffing decisions.
• Contribute to cross-functional teams to resolve procurement challenges.
