Job summary

SemiTorr Group in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Buyer to handle procurement of materials, negotiate with vendors and manage approvals to ensure timely, cost-effective purchases.

You will review supplier quotes, track delivery dates, and coordinate with sales and customers to align specs and pricing. A background in inventory control and Excel proficiency is preferred; on-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of computer-based inventory management systems.
• Strong Excel skills beyond beginner level.
• Familiarity with steel pipe, fittings, and flange products.
• 2–4+ years in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Review the procurement queue and analyze items for potential purchase.
• Ensure material is placed on order and delivery timing is tracked.
• Follow up with vendors, sales, and customers to confirm delivery, specs, and pricing.
• Coordinate flow of material from vendor to customer promptly.
• Monitor open orders and maintain projected delivery dates.
• Analyze daily purchasing reports and optimize orders for profit.
