Job summary

WTEC Energy in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ is seeking a procurement professional to support daily purchasing activities, source materials for production, and manage supplier quotes within a set budget. The role requires a Bachelor's in supply chain or related field and 3–5 years of manufacturing procurement experience.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, with knowledge of purchasing processes and inventory control considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or a related field is required.
• 3-5 years of directly related procurement experience.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the Procurement Manager with day-to-day activities.
• Purchasing of Materials and Supplies.
• Sourcing and quoting products to meet production needs.
• Working within a given budget to purchase goods and services for an organization.
• Responsible for maintaining an inventory of supplies and materials, deciding when to make purchases as needed.
• Responsible for placing and tracking orders with vendors and suppliers.
• Entering and updating Purchase orders.
• Responsible for estimation and sourcing by contacting suppliers for pricing.
• Responsible for checking invoices for accuracy, and authorizes the accounts payable department to issue payment
