Job summary

Dematic seeks an Expert Procurement Project Lead to drive procurement execution for our most complex, high-value customer projects. You will partner with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to optimize outcomes and protect commitments.

The role demands 10+ years of project-based procurement experience, strong leadership through influence, and advanced skills in SAP, MS Teams, and Excel. A CPSM/PMP and a relevant degree are preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project-based procurement experience.
• Experience with large-scale automation, engineering, or capital equipment projects.
• Ability to influence project teams and stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of procurement delivery for Dematic’s most intricate, strategic projects.
• Develop and complete project-specific procurement strategies aligned with objectives.
• Serve as main procurement leader ensuring scope, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
• Drive accountability across PM, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and Suppliers.
• Lead procurement activities across multiple concurrent projects and accounts.
• Balance cost, schedule, risk, supplier performance, and commitments for sound decisions.
• Develop and maintain Procurement Execution Plans linked to milestones and risks.
• Own procurement risk and issue management and mitigation actions.
• Resolve complex supplier performance and delivery issues to protect objectives.
• Partner with Category Management to develop sourcing strategies and qualified suppliers.
• Influence collaborators, suppliers, customers, and teams without direct authority.
• Own procurement performance metrics, executive reporting, and delivery of commitments.
• Lead continuous improvement and mentoring to strengthen procurement project execution.
