Job summary

Dematic is seeking an expert Procurement Project Lead to drive procurement delivery for its most strategic, high-value customer programs. You will partner with Project Management, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to shape and execute procurement strategies that align with project goals.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration, manage risk, and own procurement performance metrics, while mentoring teams to elevate project execution excellence.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of project-based procurement experience in automation or capital equipment.
• Proven track record managing procurement for large-scale, complex projects.
• Expertise in supplier management, risk management, and project execution.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and reporting.
• Ability to influence project teams without direct authority.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP and Teams preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain; Master's preferred.
• CPSM or PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of procurement delivery for Dematic's most intricate, strategic, and high-value customer projects.
• Develop and complete project-specific procurement strategies aligned with objectives and customer requirements.
• Act as the main procurement leader for outcomes supporting scope, schedule, quality, cost, and commitments.
• Drive accountability across PM, Engineering, Finance, Quality, Manufacturing, Category Management, and suppliers.
• Lead procurement activities across multiple concurrent projects and strategic customer accounts.
• Balance cost, schedule, risk, supplier performance, and commitments to make decisions.
• Develop and maintain Procurement Execution Plans aligned to milestones and risk mitigation.
• Own procurement risk and issue management; mitigate and resolve risks affecting outcomes.
• Assess procurement impacts from scope changes, engineering revisions, supplier changes, and schedule shifts.
• Lead resolution of complex supplier performance and delivery issues to protect objectives.
• Partner with Category Management to develop sourcing strategies and qualified suppliers.
• Influence collaborators without direct authority and promote accountability.
• Serve as a trusted procurement advisor in project reviews and executive discussions.
• Own procurement performance metrics, executive reporting, and delivery of commitments.
• Lead continuous improvement and coaching to strengthen procurement execution excellence.
