Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Procurement Specialist to join the Business Office Group supporting the CMOE at NASA Langley Research Center. The role reports to the Subcontracts Manager and requires adherence to safety policies and Real ID compliance.

Responsibilities include purchasing a range of products/services, maintaining vendor databases, evaluating proposals, and ensuring proper documentation and wage scale administration. US citizenship and security clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Six (6) years of progressive and relevant experience in purchasing / material acquisition or related business office management.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint; good oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform purchasing of products (COTS, non-numbered/high tech, or custom) and services within approved thresholds.
• Establish competition for purchasing.
• Maintain extensive vendor source database.
• Support procurement by keeping abreast of new products and services.
• Analyze vendor proposals, pricing, discounts, and delivery dates.
• Justify price as fair and reasonable; select procurement sources.
• Coordinate between vendors and requesting department/source.
• Prepare and maintain documentation (vendor info, POs, subcontracts, specs, terms, T&C, certifications).
• Monitor delivery for conformance to PO/subcontract.
• Administer Wage Scale information.
• Invoice subcontractor certified payrolls and files from cradle to grave.
