We are seeking to add a Strategic Procurement Manager Packaging to play an integral role in our Global Sourcing Organization! This role will drive towards establishing a world-class supply network, tailored to the category-specific characteristics and strengths. This position ensures that the current and future supply network has the capabilities to boost the competitiveness, resilience, sustainability, and innovation for Paper & Packaging. The Strategic Procurement Manager leverages the global scale of Hasbro and leads Procurement Excellence (e.g., Directed Buy) and Productivity Improvements initiatives (including Buy & Spend Better initiatives) for Paper & Packaging.

A day in the life of a Strategic Procurement Manager Packaging:

• Actively contribute to the definition of the global Procurement Strategy & design of the global Supply Network for the assigned category.
• Ensure that proper Corrective Action Plans (CAP) are in place to bridge any performance gaps and are followed through.
• Systematically assess current and new suppliers with effective segmentation/tiering to ensure a healthy supplier pipeline to support current and future category requirements and priorities.
• Ensure that the supply network has the capacities and capabilities to develop and deliver the current & future product plans of safe, sustainable, and reliable products/materials on time, in full and at competitive costs.
• Ensure supplier compliance (Ethical Sourcing, Global Security) and facilitate implementation of CAP.
• Establish Supplier Account Plans to continuously improve performance, operational excellence, and Productivity via Strategic Business Initiatives and Supplier Competence Development Programs.
• Prepare and lead the Joint Business & Improvement Agenda, Supplier Performance Scorecard & Business Review Meetings.
• Ensure supplier integration in Product Development.
• Ensure supplier integration in Order Fulfillment.

What you’ll bring:

• Master’s degree holder in related discipline preferably in Engineering, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement and/or supplier management experience at an MNC with international exposure.
• Deep knowledge of the global paper & packaging industry in either an engineering, procurement, or sales position.
• Able to influence respectfully senior leaders at manufacturing partners, key suppliers, model-shops, toolmakers, and test-labs to address their issues and have them take ownership to drive operational excellence in joint product development, supply, quality, compliance, and cost.
• Consistent, hands-on, and pragmatic performer, consistently delivering on all Procurement goals (Operational Excellence, Product/Materials Costs Savings, Supplier Performance Improvement) and tackling any internal/external performance or relationship issues and proactively solving them.
• Boundless energy & unlimited bandwidth to get the job done. Eager to do the right things for Hasbro and not constrained by job description, function, department thinking, time-zones or working hours.
• Build and maintain a solid network and partner intensively with Global Consumer Insight Organization, Global Supply Chain, and Commercial Markets to spark them to perform, influence decision making and integrate the business & functional priorities in own actions.
• Strong negotiator with desire to Play to Win, forcing concrete actions & decisions from each meeting/discussion, willing & able to make difficult decisions on people and external partners.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
