Job summary

Agropur is seeking a Procurement Manager - Suppliers to lead strategic sourcing for capital equipment across US and Canada. You will partner with Engineering, Legal, and Operations to define work methods, lead major purchases, and optimize total cost of ownership while managing supplier relationships and contracts.

The role focuses on achieving annual savings, developing supplier strategies, and ensuring risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Business Administration, Law, Engineering, etc.) required.
• Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in strategic sourcing category management with a major organization.
• Willingness to travel to various sites in the US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Define standard work methods with Engineering and Legal to maximize value for capital expenditures.
• Manage major purchases for the category (~$200M per year) and determine sourcing strategies.
• Apply total cost of ownership to select sourcing approaches.
• Consolidate purchases across production sites in US and Canada to maximize volume.
• Lead and manage RFPs, select suppliers, negotiate and draft contracts.
• Increase contractual coverage and implement risk management with involved departments.
• Develop relationships with key suppliers and ensure fair treatment of information.
• Negotiate master agreements to accelerate downstream projects while reducing risk.
• Plan and achieve at least 5% savings per year for the category.
• Establish KPIs and monitoring mechanisms for categories.
• Ensure compliance and risk management in supplier contracts.
• Represent Strategic Sourcing in Engineering’s Capital Equipment budget meetings.
