Job summary

Agropur, inc. in Appleton, WI or Eden Prairie, MN is seeking a Procurement Manager - Suppliers. You will lead capital-expenditure sourcing with Engineering to maximize value and cost efficiency across US and Canada sites.

You will manage major purchases (~$200M/year), run RFPs, negotiate contracts, develop supplier relationships, and implement risk and compliance practices while targeting at least 5% annual savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Law, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum five years in strategic sourcing category management with a major organization.
• Experience managing complex RFPs.
• Willingness to travel across US and Canada.

Responsibilities

• Define standard work methods with Engineering and Legal to maximize value for capital expenditures.
• Manage major purchases (~$200 million/year) with strategic sourcing strategies.
• Determine sourcing approach using total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Consolidate purchases across US and Canada production sites.
• Lead and manage RFPs, select suppliers, negotiate contracts.
• Increase contractual coverage and implement risk management.
• Develop relationships with key suppliers and ensure fair information handling.
• Develop master agreements to accelerate downstream projects and reduce risk.
• Plan and achieve at least 5% annual savings in the category.
• Establish KPIs for categories and monitoring mechanisms.
• Ensure risk management and compliance in supplier contracts.
• Represent Strategic Sourcing in Engineering budget and project meetings.
• Reduce company risk via negotiating contracts and policies.
