Job summary

IDEX Corporation is seeking a Procurement Manager in the United States to lead purchasing and supplier management for direct and indirect spend. You will guide a team of professionals, optimize inventory, and align procurement with production schedules and business goals.

Responsibilities include RFQs, negotiations, and cost-reduction initiatives, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 3–5 years of procurement/sourcing management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading or supervising a small team of procurement professionals (3–5) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for direct materials (80/20 categories) and indirect spend.
• Ensure material availability to support production schedules while optimizing inventory levels and cash flow.
• Lead sourcing activities including RFQs, bid analysis, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
• Drive cost reduction through value analysis, supplier consolidation, and strategic sourcing.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor performance across cost, quality, delivery, and service.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks and support cross-functional collaboration.
