Job summary

Acela, Inc. in Bozeman, MT is seeking a Procurement and Logistics Manager to oversee purchasing, supplier relationships, inventory management, and transportation across production facilities.

You will drive cost control, maintain inventory accuracy, support production schedules, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time deliveries. The ideal candidate has five+ years in procurement/logistics within manufacturing, strong leadership, and a track record of process improvements

Qualifications

• Five or more years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, preferably in manufacturing.
• Experience with supplier negotiations, purchasing, inventory control, and freight coordination.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating across departments preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supplier relationships and procurement activities to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Coordinate inventory levels across multiple facilities and support production plans.
• Manage freight, shipping, and delivery coordination; optimize transportation costs.
• Lead and develop procurement and logistics personnel; align with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor KPIs, report on performance, and drive continuous improvement in the supply chain.
