Job summary

The Brock Group Inc in Liberty Township, OH is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead cost-effective sourcing of commodities and services across North America. You will direct procurement strategy, bids, and contracts, and manage supplier relationships to support business goals.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field, 5+ years of procurement experience, and strong negotiation and sourcing expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, supply chain, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience, industrial or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Strategic sourcing and negotiation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Promote Brock’s Bsafe and Bbest culture in all aspects of the business.
• Oversee the strategic plan, policies, and procedures to align with the company’s goals and objectives.
• Lead, motivate and direct a high functioning procurement team focused on bottom line results.
• Lead category management activities across all company entities.
• Develop standard reports including scorecard to communicate KPI performance of procurement function to various levels of the organization.
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Evaluate, negotiate, and manage the most complex or strategically important supplier and vendor relationships.
• Prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, terms/conditions, and acceptance of items to specifications.
• Establish long-lasting “win-win” relationships with reliable and sustainable suppliers for major commodities and services.
• Monitor contract execution and supplier performance to ensure an efficient procurement process.
• Maintain and actively manage contracts in ERP system.
• Identify common contract risk areas and advise procurement and business leadership on the risks.
• Propose opportunities to reduce purchasing costs.
• Track company spend and provide ad-hoc status report and updates to senior management.
