Job summary

Westlake seeks a senior procurement leader to provide direction, mentoring and training for the plant’s procurement organization. You will lead RFx, negotiations, supplier sourcing and contracts to deliver best total cost. You’ll align raw material plans with production, inventory targets and business objectives.

You will oversee MRP activities, validate demand and ensure timely PO execution, driving efficiency and continuous improvement across the supply base.

Qualifications

• BS degree or progressive purchasing experience.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive purchasing and management experience.
• Strong written & verbal communication and presentation skills.
• MS Office proficiency; JDE experience is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, mentoring and training to the plant’s procurement organization.
• Supervises team member’s quotes and purchases ensuring best practices and policy.
• Lead RFx, negotiations, supplier sourcing, contracts and compliance management.
• Develop and oversee raw material supply plans coordinating with operations, finance, and procurement.
• Direct team activities related to MRP, demand validation and timely PO execution.
• Drive supply chain efficiency through best practices and automation of spend.
• Establish cross functional teams to develop and maintain sourcing strategies.
• Manage supplier relationships and scorecards to drive improvement.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policy and Sox controls.
