Job summary

Westlake is seeking a Direct Materials Category Manager to develop and execute a global sourcing strategy for direct raw materials. You will manage global categories, optimize supplier base, and negotiate favorable contracts to ensure continuity of supply and strong EBITDA performance.

The role requires leading cross-functional teams, analyzing market conditions, and driving cost reductions across material, logistics, and quality.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering or related field; Master’s in Business beneficial.
• Minimum 10 years in manufacturing, petroleum refining or petrochemical sourcing.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Experience with SAP and data-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes the strategic plan for sourcing, procurement and logistics of assigned Direct Raw Material categories.
• Lead cross-functional teams to develop and implement global category strategies.
• Identify and implement best-in-class sourcing practices to ensure continuity of supply, quality and cost.
• Establish supplier scorecards and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Legal on contract negotiations and ensure safety/compliance of procurement methods.
