Job summary

The Boring Company in Las Vegas is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage cost estimates, supplier relations, and purchase orders for our local tunneling operations. The role emphasizes accuracy, speed, and cross-functional collaboration with project managers and engineers.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree and strong MS Office skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Excellent customer service and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Work directly with project managers and engineers to develop efficient, cost‑effective solutions.
• Create comprehensive cost estimates to drive decision making.
• Develop strategic supplier relationships, negotiate contracts and pricing, act as primary point of contact for Las Vegas suppliers.
• Assist in development and implementation of purchasing systems and processes to improve company efficiency.
• Execute all purchase orders for Las Vegas operation; communicate order status and coordinate delivery logistics.
• Source critical items, working with project manager, field engineers and field technicians.
• Manage rental equipment delivery and return; maximize utilization and timely returns.
• Resolve invoice issues with suppliers to ensure vendor payment.
• Report and monitor inventory counts of tunneling supplies.
