Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Category Manager for Substation & Distribution to drive sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management in PV and BESS.

The role partners with engineering, operations, and finance to identify supplier needs, run competitive RFPs, and negotiate Master Supply Agreements for optimal terms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in category management, sourcing, and supplier performance, with a focus on electrical components

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to understand electrical design and components, with a preference for PV and battery storage.
• Proven experience in category management, sourcing, and supplier relationship management within PV, BESS, or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to define supplier requirements and scout potential suppliers.
• Develop and execute competitive RFPs, evaluate responses, and award contracts based on strategic criteria.
• Negotiate Master Supply Agreements to achieve favorable terms, pricing, lead times, and quality.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships as the primary point of contact for performance management.
• Coordinate supplier scorecards and quarterly business reviews to drive improvements.
