Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a strategic Category Manager for Structural Components to lead sourcing, category strategy, and supplier relationships across structural materials and construction equipment for utility-scale solar, HV, and energy storage projects.

The role can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in‑office presence in San Diego, CA. You will drive category strategies for trackers, foundations, and steel components, and lead RFPs, negotiations, and master agreements to optimize

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline as listed in the job post.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, category management, procurement, or supplier relationship management.
• Experience sourcing structural commodities, construction materials, or large capital equipment.
• Demonstrated success in complex commercial negotiations and supplier agreements.
• Strong analytical, financial, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for structural components and construction equipment.
• Lead supplier market analysis, benchmarking, and category intelligence efforts.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and warranties; develop Master Supply Agreements and Fleet Purchasing Agreements.
• Lead sourcing of construction equipment (pile driving, truss driving, GPS, robotic equipment).
• Manage supplier relationships, performance metrics, and quarterly business reviews.
• Identify risks and mitigate supply chain disruptions; support forecasting and budgeting.
