Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of procurement experience in discrete manufacturing or engineered-to-order settings.
• Experience using SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards for purchasing transactions.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and BOMs for sourcing components.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for spending analysis and inventory tracking.

Responsibilities

• Issue, confirm, and expedite POs based on MRP demands.
• Monitor supplier on-time delivery, lead times, and quality conformance.
• Negotiate price, terms, and delivery schedules to reduce PPV and achieve cost-out targets.
• Identify bottlenecks and qualify alternate suppliers per quality/engineering specs.
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Inventory Control, and Engineering on BOMs and ECOs.
• Maintain purchasing master data in the ERP system (lead times, MOQs, safety stock, vendor info).
