Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage local/regional procurement, supplier qualification, and contract compliance across facilities in the South region. The role collaborates with Operations, Engineering and Maintenance to optimize spend and supplier performance.

You will lead RFPs, negotiate contracts, place POs, track KPIs, and drive total cost reduction while ensuring safety and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred; preferably Supply Chain, Finance, or technical discipline.
• ISM and/or APICS certification highly desired but not required.
• 5+ years of relevant procurement and supply management experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier qualification and relationships.
• Lead RFPs, bid comparisons, evaluation and negotiations.
• Coordinate bid review conferences and walk downs.
• Finalize negotiations, awarding of contracts and follow-ups.
• Purchase order placement and expediting.
• Lead total cost reduction initiatives and supplier quality programs.
• Supplier performance analysis and contract compliance oversight.
• Prepare cost reporting for the annual budgeting process.
• Provide training on Procurement systems to internal clients.
• Coordinate supplier interface and travel up to 25%.
