Job summary

TEiC is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Buyer to lead strategic procurement for industrial construction, maintenance, outage, and specialty projects across power generation and heavy industry. This role goes beyond transactional purchasing and acts as a trusted partner to project teams, guiding supplier performance, cost competitiveness, and schedule execution from proposal through project closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years procurement, purchasing, subcontracting, or supply chain experience in construction/industrial sectors.
• Experience managing complex procurement activities and negotiations.
• Strong understanding of supplier management, contract administration and sourcing strategy.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead sourcing and procurement for complex materials, equipment, subcontract and services.
• Develop project-specific sourcing strategies to meet cost, quality, and schedule goals.
• Evaluate suppliers and subcontractors; build long-term strategic relationships.
• Lead competitive bids, supplier selection, and award recommendations.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery, and contracts.
• Manage procurement schedules and expedite critical items as needed.
• Partner with Operations, Estimating, Legal, Finance, Quality, Scheduling, and Projects.
• Resolve supplier performance issues, disputes, non-conformances, and risks.
• Drive supplier performance programs and continuous improvement.
