Job summary

United Concrete is hiring an experienced Purchasing & Inventory Manager to lead procurement and inventory operations at our precast concrete facility. You will negotiate with vendors, optimize stock levels, and guide a small team in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The role requires strong experience in purchasing, procurement, and inventory management, with a track record of cost control and process improvements. Join a team focused on reliability and efficiency in material flow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management.
• 3+ years in a supervisory or management role.
• Experience with ERP/inventory software.
• Strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Source and purchase raw materials (rebar, wire mesh, admixtures) and production supplies.
• Negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors to control costs.
• Manage inventory levels for raw materials, tools, and finished goods.
• Perform cycle counts and physical inventories; resolve discrepancies.
• Supervise and develop a team of buyers and inventory staff.
• Partner with Production and Logistics to keep materials flowing on schedule.
• Track vendor performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
