Job summary

Bühler Group North America is seeking a Procurement Engineer to partner with the Die Casting Engineering and Project Execution teams to source equipment, engineered systems, and services for customer projects.

You will develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and oversee the full project lifecycle to meet cost, quality, delivery, and performance goals, while leading RFQs, negotiations, and supplier evaluations to ensure the best fit for each project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Operations or equivalent.
• Several years of procurement, sourcing, supplier management or project procurement experience.
• Proven ability to manage supplier relationships, negotiate and administer contracts.
• Strong knowledge of project-based procurement, negotiations, supplier performance, and compliance.
• Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and communication skills; proficient with ERP and MS Office; able to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies for projects and customers.
• Build, evaluate, negotiate, and manage a global supplier network for equipment, systems, components, and services.
• Lead RFQs, bid evaluations, supplier selection, and make-versus-buy analyses to balance cost, quality, delivery, and capability.
• Oversee suppliers through the full project lifecycle, coordinating with engineering, quality, logistics, sites, and customers.
• Administer supplier agreements, audits, contract changes, claims, and invoice approvals while ensuring compliance; travel as needed.
