Job summary

Bühler Group is seeking a Buyer to ensure material availability and support project requirements in our manufacturing environment in North Carolina. You will be accountable for component cost, quality, and delivery while supporting engineering, design and manufacturing teams.

You will negotiate with suppliers, develop procurement strategies, manage inventories, and forecast long-lead items. Strong reading of drawings/specifications and SAP/ERP experience are preferred; Bachelor's degree is a

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment, reading drawings and specifications.
• Experience with ERP/SAP or similar systems.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage commodities and competitive sources of supply.
• Negotiate with suppliers on cost, quality and lead-time.
• Plan and manage multiple work assignments with strong organizational skills.
• Develop, implement and drive procurement strategies to meet cost targets.
• Track orders to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
• Interface with departments to resolve issues with purchased items.
