Job summary

Applied Aerospace and Defense is seeking a Procurement Coordinator to support purchasing and procurement by coordinating purchase orders, communicating with suppliers, tracking deliveries, and maintaining procurement records.

The role requires 1–3 years in procurement, strong Excel and ERP skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and US citizenship due to ITAR/EAR compliance.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related administrative role.
• Procurement, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities.
• Prepare, process, and track purchase orders and requisitions.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations, pricing, and terms.
• Communicate with vendors regarding orders, pricing, delivery schedules, and issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Track shipments and follow up on delays.
• Maintain accurate supplier, purchase order, invoice, and procurement records.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
• Assist with supplier selection, evaluation, and relationship management.
• Support contract and pricing negotiations as required.
• Ensure purchases comply with company policies, budgets, and approval procedures.
• Work closely with Finance, Operations, Warehouse, and other departments to resolve purchasing issues.
• Prepare procurement reports and provide updates on purchasing activities and supplier performance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve procurement processes.
• Assist in managing and updating the Supplier Scorecard System
