Job summary

University of Redlands seeks a Procurement and Contracts Manager to lead the University’s procurement and contracting activities, including system implementation, policy development, and strategic sourcing. You will oversee competitive sourcing, contract negotiation, supplier evaluation, and governance across campus.

The role requires 3–5 years of procurement experience, strong analytical abilities, and collaboration with Legal, IT, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Public Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of progressively responsible procurement, purchasing, or sourcing experience.
• Experience with competitive bidding processes (RFI/RFQ/RFP) and contract negotiation.
• Experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts under California law.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret procurement policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead implementation of the university's new procurement system and provide training.
• Manage end-to-end procurement transactions across categories with policy compliance.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery with vendors; monitor contract performance.
• Develop and document procurement policies, workflows, and governance.
• Collaborate with IT, Legal, Finance, and campus departments to optimize operations.
