Job summary

Eversource is seeking a Category Lead to drive category management for assigned groups, develop sourcing strategies, and lead supplier negotiations. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, build supplier relationships, and monitor performance to deliver value within the company’s procurement strategy.

The role requires strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with 5+ years of procurement experience and a Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years related procurement experience; supervisory experience preferred.
• Certifications in purchasing/Lean/Six Sigma or project management are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of category management plans for assigned groups.
• Develop strategic sourcing strategies and manage bids for large/very large purchases.
• Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships and SRM programs.
• Present business cases and category plans to management and stakeholders.
• Drive total cost of ownership improvements and monitor supplier performance.
