Job summary

Simmons Foods seeks an experienced procurement leader to oversee total business unit procurement for multiple categories. You will develop and execute category strategies, drive sourcing events, and manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery, quality, cost efficiency, and sustainability across the product lifecycle.

You will collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, Sales, Regulatory, and Finance to deliver cross-functional results, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance while seeking

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or 4 years related work experience.
• Designated Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes category strategies for assigned categories to deliver long-term value and mitigate risk.
• Leads sourcing process including strategy development, cost negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
• Negotiates with external suppliers to secure supply, cost savings and advantageous terms; reviews contracts.
• Coordinates with internal stakeholders to define needs and drive the sourcing process across the organization.
• Travel to facilities and supplier visits within North America as required, approximately 25–35%.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, 4 years related work experience

SCMP or MBA
