Job summary

Reser’s Fine Foods seeks a Category Manager- Purchasing to lead ingredient category sourcing, negotiate with suppliers, and manage supplier performance across domestic and international markets.

You will collaborate with R&D, Food Safety, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure compliant documentation and reliable supply, while driving cost savings and product quality in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance, Food Science, or related field.
• 10+ years in purchasing, procurement, or supplier management in food manufacturing/CPG.
• Experience sourcing food ingredients domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned ingredient categories.
• Identify and onboard new and alternate ingredient suppliers.
• Coordinate with R&D, Food Safety, Regulatory, and Quality teams on supplier documentation and requirements.
• Lead supplier RFQs, RFPs, bid analysis, and award recommendations.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and lead times with suppliers.
• Provide forecasts, market updates, and risk assessments to support planning and budgeting.
