You will perform daily buying activities, review constraints, lead times, and minimums, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve gaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing required; distribution/logistics environment preferred.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract terms, and supplier relationship management.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices, industry trends, and regulations.
• Must be able to read and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Place purchase orders accurately and on time based on direction and requirements.
• Execute buying activity considering supplier constraints and business needs.
• Ensure order quantities and lead times meet requirements.
• Identify and adjust orders to meet supplier minimums while avoiding unnecessary purchasing.
• Flag PO placement issues for review or escalation.
• Follow special buy processes (seasonal, one-time buys, dual source, kitting).
• Coordinate with category management and supply chain analytics to onboard new items to standard process.
• Optimize freight and shipments (container loads, truckloads, LTL).
• Monitor critical alerts to mitigate stock-outs and escalate inventory risks when needed.
