Job summary

Cox Enterprises in Phoenix seeks a pricing analyst skilled in strategic design and technical implementation for logistics and transportation. The role focuses on turning data into actionable insights, building automated pricing models, and driving profitability and market competitiveness.

You will collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to tailor pricing to customer segments and real-time market conditions, and you will develop dashboards and tools to streamline quoting and pricing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 2 years’ experience; or master’s degree with up to 2 years’ experience; or 6 years’ experience with no degree.
• Oracle or SQL Server knowledge is a plus.
• Proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills to transform data into business insights.
• Ability to tell a story with data and present it to varied audiences.
• Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities across levels.
• Experience with ETL processes is a plus.
• Ability to build relationships across Sales, Finance, and Operations.
• Proven track record in a sales-support role in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop pricing strategies balancing profitability, market share, and retention.
• Build and maintain predictive pricing models using SQL, Excel, or BI tools.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to align pricing with objectives.
• Determine pricing optimizations by customer segments, geography, and competition.
• Analyze industry trends, capacity, and competitor behavior to adjust pricing.
• Monitor pricing health and provide data-informed recommendations.
• Design automated pricing tools, dashboards, and APIs to speed quoting.
• Run what-if analyses for market changes and fuel costs.
• Present findings and pricing performance to senior leadership.
