Job summary

MongoDB is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Architect in San Francisco to guide customers in designing scalable, reliable systems using the MongoDB data platform. Qualifications

• Ideally 8 to 11 years of customer facing experience, including 5-7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
• Minimum 3 years experience with modern scripting languages (e.g., Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or languages like C/C++, Java, C#.
• Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills to convey complex concepts to tech and business leaders.

Responsibilities

• Design and Architect: Design scalable and performant applications, systems and infrastructure for large software projects leveraging MongoDB.
• Customer Advising and Value Articulation: Guide customers on architecture patterns and optimisation strategies for MongoDB, while clearly communicating its business value to the relevant stakeholders.
• Sales Partnership: Collaborate with the sales team to drive account success through account planning, opportunity prioritization/qualification and pipeline generation strategy.
• Demand Generation: Proactively generate demand within the sales territory through self-driven technical initiatives and events.
• Customer Success: Foster strong customer relationships and ensure customer success and satisfaction.
• Innovation and Improvement: Proactively mentor other Solutions Consulting team members and relay field feedback to the product team.
• Personal Training and Development: Engage in ongoing training to stay abreast of MongoDB product suite and industry trends.
