Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a dynamic Pre-Construction Field Procurement Manager in Dallas to lead the relationship between field offices and suppliers. You will develop accurate installation cost models and guide subcontractor selection to deliver efficient project solutions.

This role requires electrical or mechanical controls experience and a track record in procurement, cost analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, engineering, and project teams.

Qualifications

• Electrical industry equivalent experience or bachelor's degree required.
• Experience in building systems or operational processes.
• Experience in design-build construction and HVAC highly preferred.
• 5-8 years as a project manager with estimating experience in the HVAC Controls construction or trades industry.
• Procurement experience with a focus on construction and/or HVAC equipment and services.

Responsibilities

• Lead the procurement contact for assigned branch office partnering with the HVAC Controls Sales Organization.
• Develop installation costing and identify/ select 3rd party subcontractors.
• Coordinate procurement activities, ensuring BOS procedures and DoA compliance.
• Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal customers.
• Collaborate with Sales during project development to own Subcon Installation pricing; develop RFPs.
