Job summary

Gensler New York is seeking a creative, motivated Public Relations Specialist to join the NY PR & Communications team. You will help communicate the firm's design approach and differentiators, as a storyteller working with local markets.

Reporting to the NY PR Manager, you will manage multiple deliverables, develop campaigns, identify engaging stories, coordinate with regional and global colleagues, and support events, awards, and social channels.

Qualifications

• 6–10 years of public relations experience with architecture or design background preferred.
• Strong writing, editing and interpersonal skills.
• Experience presenting to executives and managing media relationships.
• Knowledge of design, architecture and real estate markets is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify story angles and engage journalists for opportunity specific to practice areas.
• Create and update targeted PR plans for projects and practice areas.
• Write press materials (backgrounders, releases, pitches, sheets).
• Maintain media lists and editorial calendars.
• Plan office and media events; support speaking engagements.
