Job summary

QinetiQ US in Chantilly, VA seeks a budget and financial management professional to support a multi‑hundred‑million dollar research program. You will partner with a Government Project Manager to align funding, schedules, and execution across several projects within DoW budgeting requirements.

Responsibilities include PPBE‑informed planning, spend plans, and executive‑level briefings, plus tracking burn rates, risks, and funding actions with project teams and contractors to optimize performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 15 years of experience with 5+ years in DoW financial management, budgeting, or program portfolio execution.
• Experience with DoW appropriations (RDT&E, O&M, Procurement, etc.).
• Clearance: TS/SCI required.
• Experience tracking funds execution across multiple projects or funding lines.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, including executive briefing development.
• Ability to work full-time in a Chantilly, VA office within SCIF/SAPF spaces.

Responsibilities

• Support financial execution across a portfolio of projects.
• Track budget execution, obligations, and expenditures across funding lines.
• Monitor financial performance and identify risks impacting project delivery.
• Align funding with project schedules, milestones, and execution priorities.
• Maintain financial and execution trackers.
• Provide PPBE-informed planning, funding strategies, and spend plans.
• Develop executive briefings and financial decision-support materials.
• Coordinate with project teams, contracting, and financial stakeholders on funding actions.
