Jacobs is seeking a senior Power Systems Engineer to drive strategic utility projects, including substations, transmission upgrades, renewables integration, and grid modernization. You will lead technical studies, define scopes, and collaborate across engineering, operations, and executives to deliver critical infrastructure investments.

The role emphasizes ownership of cross-disciplinary projects, evaluating new technologies, and guiding capital budgeting.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET-accredited institution.
• 12+ years of utility, transmission, substation, or power systems engineering experience.
• Experience with high-voltage systems ranging from 69kV through 500kV.
• Knowledge of substation equipment including power transformers, circuit breakers, disconnect switches, instrument transformers, protection and control systems, bus configurations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead high-voltage substation and transmission system projects.
• Perform engineering studies, evaluations, and system assessments.
• Develop scopes, specifications, design criteria, and engineering recommendations.
• Coordinate design activities across planning, design, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and implementation strategies.
• Present findings to leadership and support capital budgeting and prioritization.
