Jacobs is seeking a Power Systems Engineer – Strategic Projects to lead high-voltage substations, transmission and grid modernization efforts. You will perform advanced system studies, develop engineering criteria, and coordinate across design, construction, and operations teams to optimize critical infrastructure investments.

Qualifications
- ABET-accredited electrical engineering degree and 12+ years in utility transmission/substation or power systems.
- Experience with 69 kV–500 kV systems and substation equipment such as transformers, breakers, and instruments.
- Knowledge of IEEE, NERC, WECC or regional reliability standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects involving high-voltage substations, transmission, and grid modernization.
- Perform system studies: load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash, reliability and power quality.
- Develop scopes, design criteria, and engineering recommendations throughout project lifecycle.
- Collaborate with energy teams, consultants and stakeholders; present findings to leadership.
- Support capital budgeting, forecasting, and project prioritization.
