Job summary

NAVSUP, NAVSUP FLC NORVA GF, seeks a Supervisory Postal Operations Specialist to lead the Postal Products and Services Division. The role focuses on optimizing postal operations, ensuring compliance with USPS publications and DoD/DON regulations, and guiding policy enhancements across regions.

The successful candidate will supervise teams across locations, manage budgeting and funding documents, and advise on operational improvements to support Navy and Marine Corps logistics and delivery

Qualifications

• Requires at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service performing the duties of a Postal operations specialist.
• Demonstrates mastery knowledge of analytical techniques and organizational processes to provide policy and procedural recommendations.
• Knowledge of USPS publications, GSA mail management regulations, DoD/DON postal regulations, and NAVSUP P-485 afloat supply.
• Experience supervising teams in different locations, knowledge of Domestic Delivery Service (DDS) under GSA contract, and ability to prepare funding documents using automated software.
• Ability to analyze budgetary requirements and develop short- and long-term programming guidelines; possesses postal operations, customer service, and regulatory knowledge.
