Job summary

Government Scientific Source is seeking a Portfolio Manager in Reston, VA. You will oversee a designated supplier portfolio, nurture supplier partnerships, and drive growth in collaboration with the Category Manager and Director of Supplier Management.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in business or science, proficiency with MS Office/Access, and strong communication and data-driven decision making. This position offers a hybrid schedule with three days on-site in Reston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or scientific field.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Access.
• Multitasking experience and strong time/priority management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Keen attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers; conduct regular business reviews.
• Develop and execute a strategic plan to grow the assigned portfolio.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly business reviews with data analyses and sales reviews.
• Manage product data including web content and item setups.
• Conduct pricing updates and monitor changes.
• Assist with marketing tactics and track promotion redemptions.
• Maintain cross-functional relationships with Sales, Marketing, and Purchasing.
• Perform additional tasks to support team collaboration.
