Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Director of Strategy and Portfolio Management in California to shape the strategic direction of Abbott's North American product portfolio. You will lead long- and short-term strategies, coordinate cross-functional impact, and oversee the full lifecycle of products from a commercial perspective.

The role requires 8–10 years in marketing and commercial functions, plus proven leadership and P&L experience.

Qualifications

• BS/BA required; MBA preferred.
• 8–10 years in marketing, commercial functions, ideally in healthcare with P&L experience.
• Proven leadership of commercial teams and talent development.
• Strong presentation, communication and budgeting skills.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute the Strategic plan aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
• Lead the tactical/execution plan across all relevant functions to align efforts with strategic goals.
• Manage the product portfolio lifecycle from launches to end-of-life decisions, ensuring market leadership.
• Drive cross-functional alignment among Marketing, Sales, and Market Access with scenario planning and risk mitigation.
• Lead scenario planning efforts and develop mitigation strategies for portfolio decisions.
• Oversee ad-hoc strategic initiatives aligned with overall business goals.
• Demonstrate understanding of business drivers and influence flawless execution.
