Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Manager for US Primary Market Research Business Analytics & Insights to lead PMR strategy and deliver insights that shape brand decisions. The role is a flexible commuter hybrid, based in Thousand Oaks, CA or Deerfield, IL, with on-site presence required at least two days per week.

You will partner with Commercial teams, interpret PMR data, own KPIs, and coach a PMR team while advancing analytics capabilities and stakeholder enablement.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or equivalent with analytics, sales, marketing experience.
• Master’s degree with 4+ years in analytics, sales or marketing.
• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years in analytics, sales or marketing.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences industry preferred.
• Deep expertise in primary market research methodologies (qualitative & quantitative).
• Strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking with ability to influence decisions.
• Excellent written, verbal and facilitation skills with senior audiences.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration and talent development.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Commercial teams to frame business questions and guide brand strategy.
• Lead interpretation and synthesis of PMR findings using dashboards and AI tools.
• Own KPI definitions and data cuts; ensure data quality and longitudinal integrity.
• Coach PMR team; balance asks to focus on high-value insights.
• Enable stakeholders; promote self-service insights alongside PMR partnership.
• Advance PMR capabilities, methodologies, and tools for efficiency.
