Job summary

Green Lake Nursery seeks a Supply Planning & Procurement Manager to lead procurement, planning, and vendor relationships in support of customer demand and production schedules. You will collaborate with Sales, Growing, Production, and Accounting to optimize inventory, pricing, and service levels.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years in procurement and 5+ years in horticulture or related industries, plus strong Excel and ERP skills. Exempt, full-time, on-site in Seagoville, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Horticulture, Agriculture, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of procurement, purchasing, supply planning, inventory management, or related experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience within the horticulture, nursery, agriculture, landscaping, or related industry.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related office software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement plans to support demand, production, and objectives.
• Forecast plant material and inventory needs with Sales, Production, and Growing teams.
• Analyze inventory, demand, and purchasing trends to optimize decisions.
• Monitor supplier lead times and market conditions to mitigate risks.
• Negotiate pricing, freight costs, and delivery terms to achieve favorable outcomes.
• Maintain procurement data in company systems and relationships with vendors.
