Job summary

Calculated Hire seeks a Senior Financial Leader to serve as the primary financial partner for a manufacturing plant. You will partner with the Site Leader and plant leadership to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.

The role requires strong accounting/finance background, ability to translate data into actionable insights, and leadership of accounting teams across systems. Experience with cost analysis and capital projects is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Proficiency in accounting principles and practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with Excel and Hyperion Essbase.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary financial partner for the plant and leadership teams.
• Partner with Site Leader and staff as the plant’s financial leader.
• Manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial performance analysis.
• Review financial records for accuracy and policy alignment.
• Lead close activities (period, quarterly, year-end) and journal reviews.
• Prepare financial reports for leadership and agencies.
• Analyze trends and opportunities to improve financial performance.
• Develop cost estimates for new products and packaging changes.
• Evaluate new business opportunities for financial viability.
• Assess capital projects to meet financial expectations.
• Manage assets and review expenditures to minimize waste and risk.
• Collaborate across multiple accounting systems and troubleshoot issues.
• Supervise and coach office staff and performance reviews.
• Support safety, quality, reliability, and plant operations.
