Job summary

Bowhead Information Technologies Service is seeking a highly skilled analyst to join the HQ SpOC S55 Plans and Integration branch at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado. This temporary role spans roughly 3 months with potential extension based on contract needs.

The position provides policy, strategy review, and doctrine analysis support, enabling joint level and contingency planning, COOP, and other mission-critical planning efforts for National, DoD, Air Force, and Space Force missions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of Joint Operations Planning experience.
• Experience with operational or COO planning at HQ and field levels.
• Ability to provide strategic advice and analysis for space missions.
• Familiarity with Combatant Command or HQ SpOC staffing processes.
• Ability to operate at GO/FO level without supervision.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide SME in development of the command’s plans and standup Mission Deltas.
• Lead and coordinate joint planning, contingency planning, and COOP efforts.
• Prepare coordination packages, signatures for GO/FO approvals.
• Analyze new CCMD plans and adjust HQ SpOC support plans as needed.
• Recommend actions for plan development at all levels and ensure policy compliance.
• Track command plans and support plans in development or archive.
