Job summary

LyondellBasell, based in Houston, Texas, seeks a Strategic Planning Senior Analyst in Finance to develop and execute the company’s strategic plan. You will analyze markets, customer dynamics, and competitive signals, partnering with business development and functional leaders to drive growth.

You will also assist in corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, and translate complex data into clear strategic direction for senior leadership while embedding strategic capabilities

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in chemical engineering (or equivalent).
5+ years in strategic planning or strategy development with financial modeling.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint; excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing the Company’s strategic plan considering industry dynamics and macro trends.
Support strategy formulation, execution, and initiatives including target markets and acquisitions.
Gather competitive intelligence to inform the strategic plan.
Collaborate with leaders across LyondellBasell to develop and align the plan.
Support corporate development and M&A initiatives as needed.
Lead analyses such as competitive, value chain, scenario, and portfolio analyses.
Track progress with metrics and present strategic analyses to leadership.
