Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Director of Strategic Planning & Operations to ensure the U.S. Bone Health business runs effectively while driving growth initiatives.

You will partner with BHBU leadership and cross-functional teams to align priorities, manage governance, and deliver high-impact projects, including AI-enabled improvements. The role offers exposure to senior commercial leaders, broad visibility, and opportunities to influence strategic directions, operating models, and execution.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with 7+ years of project management experience OR Bachelor's degree with 9+ years and 4 years of leadership experience.
• 4 years of leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation of resources.
• Commercial biopharmaceutical experience, with demonstrated partnership across Marketing, Sales, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for BHBU, ensuring effective planning, prioritization, and coordination across Marketing, Sales, and cross-functional partners.
• Lead cross-functional strategic projects to advance BHBU commercial strategy, operating model, and long-term performance.
• Drive adoption of AI tools and capabilities to enhance business efficiency, analytics, and decision-making.
• Translate strategic priorities into integrated plans with clear accountabilities and measurable outcomes.
• Manage the BHBU operating cadence and key forums, including LT meetings and business reviews.
