A Day in the Life

Medtronic is seeking a Strategic Planning Manager passionate about leveraging data and strategy to drive meaningful business outcomes. You will play a critical role in driving and delivering complex, high-impact strategic initiatives. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, and effective collaboration skills. You will work independently and cross-functionally—often in a global environment—to lead projects from ideation through execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage medium- to large-scale strategic projects using established project plans and delivery methodologies.
  2. Own overall project execution, performance tracking, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  3. Develop and deliver high-quality executive-level presentations conveying strategic insights and business recommendations.
  4. Utilize advanced data analysis tools and techniques to transform large datasets into actionable insights for business decisions.
  5. Manage the full lifecycle of data-driven projects, using platforms like Power BI, Power Automate, and Snowflake.
  6. Solve complex business problems by identifying patterns, trends, and opportunities through data analysis.
  7. Partner with cross-functional and global teams to ensure alignment and clear communication across initiatives.
Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree AND at least 5 years of relevant experience OR
  2. Advanced degree with 3 years of relevant experience
Nice to Have: Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power BI and Power Automate.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and influence management skills, with experience presenting to senior executives.
  • Analytical skills to derive insights from data and communicate findings effectively.
  • Experience building complex datasets, developing AI models, and using programming tools such as Python.
  • Proven project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience preparing presentations for diverse audiences.
  • Change management experience and a process optimization mindset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to operate in technical and non-technical environments and collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Benefits & Compensation

Medtronic offers a competitive salary and benefits package, supporting employees at every career and life stage. Salary ranges for U.S. locations (excluding PR): $133,600 - $200,400. This position is eligible for the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more, with specifics varying by location and employment status.
