Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, seeks a Finance/Program Analyst to prepare and coordinate plans and budgets for new and existing programs. You will monitor costs, schedules, and manpower, and support negotiations with customers to optimize resource use.

This role provides finance support to the Welding, NDT, and Supplier Engineering teams within the Specialty Engineering Division and requires strong Excel/SAP skills and clear analytical capabilities. U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years exempt experience, or equivalent Master’s +4.
• NNS Apprentice School graduate.
• NNPS graduate.
• Military paygrade E-5 or above.
• High School/GED with 4 years manufacturing/shipbuilding/military experience.
• High School/GED with 8 years manufacturing/shipbuilding/military experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate plans and schedules for programs.
• Monitor costs, budgets, schedules, and manpower requirements.
• Support negotiations with customers and analyze resource impacts across Engineering, Facilities, and labor pool.
• Provide finance support to department managers and prepare regular and special reports.
