Job summary

HP Inc. in the United States is seeking a Strategy and Planning Principal to shape long-range vision and drive near-term priorities for Personal Systems.

You will partner with senior leaders to translate rigorous analysis into clear, actionable plans that influence portfolio direction and growth opportunities. This role requires structured problem solving, executive communication, and the ability to align multiple teams around strategic initiatives and measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or business field plus relevant strategy experience.
• 8–10+ years in corporate strategy, planning, consulting, or product strategy.
• Experience communicating for senior leaders and building business cases.
• Background in technology, hardware, software, or services is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic analyses to identify market trends, customer needs, and opportunities for Personal Systems.
• Develop 1–5 year strategy with where to play, how to win, and growth priorities.
• Build data-driven business cases, long-term plans, and investment theses.
• Create executive-ready narratives and structured problem-solving approaches.
• Synthesize insights from market research and internal data for leadership decisions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to assess AI PCs, future-work, services, and ecosystem partnerships.
• Align budgets and initiatives to strategic priorities across regions and functions.
• Advise business executives on strategic planning, risk, and innovative opportunities.
• Collaborate within Strategy and Planning to pressure-test ideas and refine recommendations.
