Job summary

PENN Entertainment in New Orleans seeks a Manager of Business Planning and Analysis to lead the Planning and Analysis department, overseeing budgeting and financial forecasting.

You will supervise staff, conduct short- and long-term financial analyses, monitor labor costs, develop metrics, and present findings to the executive team.

The ideal candidate has a Finance or Accounting degree, MBA preferred, casino experience, and strong proficiency with SQL, Cognos, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required; MBA preferred.
• Casino experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
• Broad knowledge of accounting and financial analysis; financial modeling essential.
• Experience with report writing software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Cognos, SQL, CRM, CDS, ACES.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage staff in the Planning and Analysis department.
• Perform short- and long-term financial analysis for the property.
• Develop schedules while maintaining labor costs and meeting staffing objectives.
• Assist in the budget process and report budget concerns.
• Analyze profitability of marketing programs and present findings to executives.
• Oversee the preparation of annual budgets.
• Develop, maintain, and distribute key operating metrics.
• Perform data queries to extract information for analyses.
• Ensure compliance with Gaming Control Board requirements and Sarbanes-Oxley.
