Job summary

Kate Spade New York is seeking an Associate Planner in New York, NY, to drive sales, margin, and inventory productivity through strategic financial planning and cross-functional collaboration. You will partner with Buying and Allocation to optimize performance across channels and respond quickly to in-season trends.

The ideal candidate has 2–5+ years in planning/financial analysis, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 2–5+ years planning/financial analysis experience.
Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze retail trends and performance.
Cross-functional collaboration with Buying and Allocation teams.

Responsibilities

Analyze historical business trends to identify drivers, opportunities, and risks.
Participate in seasonal purchase budget process and set category plans.
React to in-season trends with timely pricing, markdowns, and flow adjustments.
Monitor aging inventory and recommend markdowns or promotions.
Manage weekly product reporting package for cross-functional teams.
Perform ad-hoc analyses and present clear conclusions to leadership.
